This Return, Refund & Exchange Policy outlines the terms governing returns, refunds, and exchanges for purchases made through the official TARAAKSH website. By placing an order with us, you acknowledge and agree to the terms set out in this Policy. Nothing contained herein shall limit any rights available to consumers under applicable Indian law.
Return Eligibility
Eligible products may be returned within 7 (seven) calendar days from the date of delivery. To initiate a return, you must contact TARAAKSH through our official customer support channels and obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). Submission of a return request does not guarantee its approval.
To qualify for a return, the product must be unused, unworn, unaltered, and returned in its original condition, along with the original jewelry box, invoice, authenticity certificate, warranty card, tags, complimentary items, and all other materials supplied with the order.
Returns will not be accepted if the product shows any signs of wear, scratches, dents, resizing, engraving, polishing, repairs, loose stones, damaged settings, tarnishing caused by use, exposure to chemicals, perfume or cosmetic residue, or any other evidence of use, alteration, or mishandling beyond reasonable inspection.
Non-Returnable Products
The following products are not eligible for return, refund or exchange, except where a verified manufacturing defect exists or as otherwise required under applicable law:
- Customized or personalized jewelry.
- Engraved or monogrammed products.
- Made-to-order or bespoke designs.
- Products resized or modified at the customer’s request.
- Special order items.
- Clearance, sale, or final sale products.
- Gift cards and complimentary promotional items.
- Any product that has been altered, repaired, polished, re-plated, reset, serviced, or otherwise modified by anyone other than TARAAKSH or its authorized service centre.
Manufacturing Defects & Damaged Deliveries
A manufacturing defect refers solely to a fault arising from the manufacturing process that affects the quality, craftsmanship, or structural integrity of the product under normal use. It does not include damage resulting from accidental impact, misuse, negligence, improper storage, normal wear and tear, oxidation of sterling silver, exposure to chemicals, perfumes, cosmetics, water, excessive force, or repairs carried out by unauthorized persons.
Natural diamonds and semi-precious gemstones may display unique inclusions and characteristics, while handcrafted sterling silver jewelry may have slight variations in finish, weight, or appearance. These are inherent features of genuine handcrafted jewelry and shall not be considered manufacturing defects.
If you receive an incorrect product, a damaged package, or an order with missing contents, you must notify TARAAKSH within 48 hours of delivery. To assist in verifying your claim, you may be required to provide clear photographs of the product, packaging, and shipping label, along with a continuous, unedited unboxing video. Failure to provide adequate evidence may result in the claim being declined.
Return Process
Once your return request is approved, TARAAKSH will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) along with detailed return instructions. Returns sent without prior approval or a valid RMA may not be accepted.
Unless TARAAKSH arranges the return, shipment or provides a prepaid, insured return label, you will remain responsible for the product until it has been safely received and accepted by TARAAKSH.
Inspection & Approval
All returned products undergo a thorough quality inspection upon receipt. TARAAKSH reserves the right to verify the product against its original dispatch records, photographs, specifications, weight, gemstone characteristics, identifying marks, and quality control records to confirm its authenticity and condition.
If a returned product is found to be used, altered, damaged, incomplete, tampered with, substituted, or otherwise does not comply with this Policy, TARAAKSH reserves the right to reject the return. Products that differ from the original item supplied or show evidence of unauthorized modifications or replacement of components will not be eligible for a refund or exchange.
Refunds
Approved refunds will be processed within 7–10 business days after the returned product has successfully passed our quality inspection. Refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the purchase. The time taken for the refund to reflect in your account may vary depending on your bank or payment service provider.
If the returned package is missing essential items, including the authenticity certificate, warranty card, original packaging, tags, or complimentary accessories, TARAAKSH reserves the right, where legally permissible, to deduct the reasonable replacement cost of such items or reject the return if the product cannot be authenticated.
Shipping charges (if any), gift wrapping charges, payment gateway fees, and any other non-refundable service charges will not be refunded unless the return is due to an error on the part of TARAAKSH.
Exchanges & Cancellations
Eligible products may be exchanged within 7 (seven) calendar days from the date of delivery, subject to successful quality inspection and the availability of the requested replacement product. If the replacement product is of a higher value, you will be required to pay the applicable price difference. If the replacement product is of a lower value, the balance amount will be refunded in accordance with this Policy. Customized, personalized, engraved, monogrammed, made-to-order, resized, or otherwise modified products, as well as products altered, repaired, or serviced by anyone other than TARAAKSH or its authorized service centre, are not eligible for exchange.
Orders may be cancelled only before they are dispatched. Once an order has been shipped, cancellation will not be possible, and any request will be governed by this Return, Refund & Exchange Policy.
Orders for customized, personalized, engraved, made-to-order, or resized jewelry cannot be cancelled once production or customization has commenced.
Fraud Prevention
To protect our customers and preserve the integrity of our products, TARAAKSH reserves the right to investigate all return, refund, and exchange requests.
We may refuse any request involving product substitution, tampering, fraudulent claims, misuse of our return process, or any attempt to obtain an unjustified refund or replacement. For verification purposes, TARAAKSH may maintain dispatch records, product photographs, and quality control documentation, and reserves the right to cooperate with law enforcement authorities where fraudulent or unlawful activity is reasonably suspected.
